(VietNamNet Bridge)-HCM City has hundreds of flooded sites in the inner city caused by flood tides and rains. The city also has a dozen dike-bursting incidents in outlying areas each year. Total losses caused by floods are estimated at over 14 trillion dong (nearly $780 million) a year.
